Take for example, you need to make a decision on something important and you search the logos but cannot find peace to move forward, so you go into prayer and there God speaks to you. When Jesus said that man, shall not live by bread alone, but by every rhema that proceeds (goes forth) out of the mouth of God, it is implying that God personally speaks to us through His Holy Spirit.
It is baffling to think how many in the body of Christ do not believe that God speaks to us today, as he did in both the Old and New Testament. John 6:63Īs believers, we live by both the Logos and Rhema word of God. “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. While the word Rhema, is the spoken word of God. “In the beginning was the Word , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. The word Logos for example, is the writte n word of God. In the King James bible, the words Rhema and Logos are used interchangeably but, in the original language, both of these words have their proper meaning.
